This nine month teleWorkshop Series shifts the way you view, nurture and celebrate yourself. Following the cycles of the moon, we meet on the dark moon and the full moon to explore what we need to let go of in order to open to that which is waiting to be birthed. This is a journey of great creativity, which mirrors nature's enduring cycles: birth, life, death, rebirth.
It is the death part that is so difficult, of course. We do not live in a culture where death is seen as a partner in life on a daily basis.
-
Each morning, you wake up, don't you? In essence, you are dying to sleep and birthing your day.
-
When a girl gets her first period, she is dying to childhood and birthing into womanhood.
-
You meet someone who changes your life, you are dying to a life without that person and being born into a life with that person.
Change is about letting go of that which no longer serves you and being born into possibility. (Please read the Story of Lilies and Roses to explore this more deeply.)
Despite the omnipresence of change and letting go, we do our best to deny death's existence, and so we miss out in its life-giving partnership. This also makes the death of the body more terrifying, when in fact, we are walking with death even as are welcomed into life. While this might seem morbid, even terrifying, it need not be either. Death in its many faces is a part of existence that simply is.
Perhaps the insane fear of death began when humans turned from living in accord with nature and her rhythms to seeing nature as something to be conquered and dominated.
Nature in Her Fullness Is Our Greatest Teacher
Nature is the Creator/Destroyer. She is the beneficent life-giver, the embracing arms of Death and the promise of rebirth. She is the essence of the Divine Feminine and her womb is Creation itself. She is flow and acceptance of what is. The loss of her Destroyer aspect is to the detriment of our global and personal hearts, psyches and minds. (Again, see the Story of Lilies and Roses.)
The Heart as Doorway to Birthing Our True Potential
As we welcome back the Destroyer aspect of the feminine, we enter the mystery of birthing our deepest potential. The way into this mystery is through the inner eyes and ears of the heart not the outer eyes and ears of ego. The heart is the doorway out of fear and into True Self. There we find the meaning, the peace and vitality for which we hunger.
This Life Changing Journey Begins in The House of the Dark Moon
